What is installed ?
 
Windows GUI Boot-US
 
The Windows GUI version of Boot-US is delivered in an english or german package as a 32-bit or 64-bit version. Each file contains a selfextracting Windows installation package for Boot-US (GUI). This installation program executes under any 32 bit and 64 Windows variant. It installs the package Boot-US (GUI) in the respective version on your PC. During the installation process the following files are simply copied to the chosen directory.

Remark 1: The two files disk*.dll are contained only in the 32-bit version.
Remark 2: The 64-bit version of Boot-US requires a 64-bit Windows.

During the installation of the package Boot-US no direct access (read or write) to disk sectors happens. Also the boot manager of Boot-US is not installed in this procedure. To install the boot manager you must start the Windows program bootus.exe and choose the menu command Boot manager / Install....  
 

Command-line program Boot-US

The command-line version of Boot-US is delivered in the files bootusc392_ger_setup.zip respectively bootusc392_eng_setup.zip. These two zip files contain the following files:

You can unzip the zip files directly under Windows.
 
Please copy the DOS version of the command-line program bootusc.exe and the INI file bootusc.ini to a bootable DOS diskette. When residing on disk these files might not be accessible in case of emergency.
